Promoting peace and development in communities through capacity building, conflict transformation, and advocacy โ healing a region shattered by Boko Haram insurgency.
Born out of the ashes of the Boko Haram insurgency, SPARSI has been a beacon of hope since 2016, working to restore peace, dignity, and community bonds in North-East Nigeria.
"A society where people of diverse ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds live together in peace and harmony."
"To promote peace and development in communities through capacity building, conflict transformation, and advocacy for sustainable development."
Beginning July 2009, North-East Nigeria was wrecked by violence caused by the Boko Haram terrorist group, uprooting over 2 million people from their homes in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe States. SPARSI was established in February 2016 by a group of concerned peacemakers, medical professionals, and community leaders who felt challenged to address this situation โ promoting post-insurgency healing and reconciliation through advocacy, psychosocial work, and peacemaking.
Foster mutual understanding and respect among people of diverse ethnic, religious, and cultural affiliations for peaceful coexistence in Nigeria and beyond.
Provide succor to crisis victims including health care and environmental responsibility for improved life quality.
Advocate for the needs of victims of violent conflict to relevant stakeholders.
Empower women and youth through entrepreneurial skills and microfinance credit for self-reliance and improved livelihood.
Enhance cross-cultural understanding through local and international exchange visits and volunteer service.
Partner and network with local and international organizations sharing the same objectives.
Promote responsive leadership for effective administration and service in institutions and organizations.
Our work is structured around six interconnected thematic areas that address the complex needs of conflict-affected communities.
Fostering mutual understanding and respect among diverse ethnic, religious, and cultural groups for peaceful coexistence.
Providing psychosocial support and trauma awareness programs to help communities recover from the devastating effects of conflict and insurgency.
Safeguarding children affected by conflict through targeted protection programs, ensuring their safety, dignity, and access to care.
Interest-free loans for food production in camps, empowering displaced communities through interfaith cooperation and economic self-reliance.
Expanding access to quality education for conflict-affected children and youth, building the foundations for lasting peace and development.
Water, Sanitation and Hygiene programs that restore dignity and improve health outcomes in displaced communities and host populations.
Since our founding, SPARSI has implemented impactful peace and reconciliation projects across North-East Nigeria.

Monthly stakeholder meetings, advocacy to Ministry of Religious Affairs and Ministry of Youth and Sports, and continued community resilience building across conflict-affected zones in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe states.
